General Control Measures for Samui & Pha Ngan - Announcement (No.59) dated 6 Aug 2021
Surat Thani has recently issued a new announcement for Samui & Phangan District which includes no alcohol sale in restaurants, no gatherings more than 20 people, Soft Curfew, cooperation to not leave home from 23:00 - 04:00, Public transportation (50% of its capacity) etc.
New General Control measures are as follows:
Restaurants , Convenient stores, Malls:
Restaurants: Only 5 people allowed in one & no alcohol sale and consumption in restaurants
Convenient stores: Can open until 23:00
Malls / Shopping malls: Can open until 21:00
Meetings & Seminars
Meetings & Seminars are allowed for less than 50 participants (70% of the area's capacity)
Sport Venues, Parks, Fitness, Yoka Centers.
Can open until 21:00
Social events & Activities
Social gatherings, parties, birthday parties weddings, funerals, traditional events are allowed for less than 50 participants
** No food parties / eating together unless food packed in boxes or for take away
** Alcohol consumption at parties is not allowed.
