Thailand’s wealthy are the happiest in Asia-Pacific with their work-life balance

72.7% of High-Net-Worth Individuals interviewed in Thailand were satisfied with their current work-life balance according to a survey published by Swiss private bank Banque Lombard Odier & Cie SA. Among the 460 high-net-worth individuals interviewed in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan and Australia between May and June 2023, those in Thailand were most satisfied followed millionaires in Australia.

Only 3% and 4% of respondents from Thailand and Australia respectively said that their job is more important than their personal life Singapore’s rich were the most unhappy with their work-life balance: just 30% of the HNWIs in Singapore were happy with their work-life balance. High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWI) are defined by the bank as those with an investable wealth of more than $1 million of investable assets in Asia-Pacific. .
